Run for Tomorrow. Run for Your Community.

Runners at the Rotary Club of Weston Run for Tomorrow

For nearly three decades, the Rotary Run for Tomorrow and Health & Fitness Festival has been a cornerstone of South Florida’s active community. Every year, thousands of runners, walkers, families, and local businesses gather in Weston for a morning that balances personal fitness with community support. Organized entirely by the Rotary Club of Weston, this signature event pairs flat racecourses with a massive health expo, and has raised over $2 million for local charities to date.

This year the Run and Festival will be held Sunday, December 6th, at Cypress Bay High School, in Weston.

The Races: Options for Every Fitness Level

Whether you are targeting a new personal record or enjoying a morning walk, the event offers chip-timed road courses tailored to various experience levels:

Half Marathon (6:20 AM Start): A scenic 13.1-mile route through Weston’s streets, serving as a classic December tune-up for athletes prepping for winter marathons.

10K & 5K (7:00 AM Start): Fast, flat courses designed for quick times, attracting a diverse field ranging from casual joggers to competitive master runners. All registered runners receive a dri-fit performance shirt, a commemorative finisher medal, free on-site parking, and access to a full post-race breakfast buffet.

The 1 Mile Walk and Commission Cup (9:15 AM): Suitable for families and walkers of all ages, the ‘City of Weston Commission Cup’ is also a competition between area elementary schools that encourages active lifestyles from a young age.

The Health & Fitness Festival

As runners and walkers cross the finish line, the focus shifts to the festival grounds, which open around 8:30 AM. Featuring over 75 booths, the festival brings together local healthcare providers, fitness studios, and community groups. Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings, sample healthy foods, test out fitness gear, and enjoy live music. It serves as an active hub for spectators and participants to connect, learn about local wellness resources, and celebrate the morning’s accomplishments.

Beyond the finish line, the Run for Tomorrow is built around community service. Organized by volunteers through the Rotary Club of Weston Charitable Foundation, all event proceeds go directly toward supporting many local charities, humanitarian projects, and student scholarships.

Key partners—including the City of Weston, local first responders, and title sponsor Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital—work together each year to coordinate operations and safety for the event.

Whether you’re lining up for the half marathon, walking with your family, or browsing the festival booths, the Rotary Run for Tomorrow offers a straightforward way to prioritize your health while directly supporting the local community.
