That’s the experience at Meat Town Express, a family-operated neighborhood meat and fine-food market serving Sunrise, Weston, Davie, Plantation, Pembroke Pines and surrounding western Broward communities.
Opened in June 2026, Meat Town Express may be small, but its selection is anything but ordinary. The market specializes in premium vacuum-sealed meats, including USDA Prime beef, alongside specialty foods from Spain, Italy, Latin America and the United States. Customers can find picanha, skirt steak, flap meat and tenderloin, plus Italian guanciale, Spanish Jamón Serrano, specialty sausages, imported pastas, cheeses, sauces and desserts.
Curated Quality, Not Endless Choices
The philosophy is simple: customers shouldn’t have to sift through shelves of nearly identical products to find something good. The owners research and taste many of the products they carry, selecting items they believe deliver exceptional quality and value.
“We curate so our customers don’t have to,” they explain, a philosophy that extends from the meat case to the specialty-food shelves. Favorites include picanha burgers, Basque burnt cheesecakes, locally made long-fermented pizza, specialty cheeses and an international sausage selection reflecting the community’s diversity.
Working with multiple specialty food suppliers also allows the owners to track down products they don’t normally stock. When a customer requested a particular center-cut tenderloin, they sourced a small quantity. It became a weekend staple.
Meat Town Express has just introduced high-quality, affordable frozen grab-and-go dinners, expanding its role as a neighborhood dinner destination. The goal is straightforward: “We want customers to be able to stop at Meat Town Express after work and solve dinner.”
For Thanksgiving, Meat Town Express is taking reservations for premium fresh, all-natural, non-injected Amish turkeys from Michigan and Nueske’s Applewood-smoked spiral hams, a premium Wisconsin tradition. Quantities are limited, so customers are encouraged to reserve early.

Their professional backgrounds taught them to listen and build relationships, while their families instilled generosity, hospitality and hard work.

They’ve stayed open late for customers on their way to the store and even opened early so a mother could pick up her daughter’s favorite Salsa Verde before she returned to college on an early flight. “Those moments may never appear on a sales report,” they say, “but they are part of what makes a neighborhood business meaningful to us.”
Ultimately, the proprietors aren’t trying to build the biggest market. They want to build one people trust, one carefully chosen product and positive customer experience at a time.
