For nearly four decades, the Rotary Club of Weston has brought the community together through a simple idea with a powerful purpose: using golf to change lives. The 39th Annual Rotary Club of Weston Golf Classic will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026, at The Club at Weston Hills, continuing one of the most meaningful charitable traditions in South Florida. The tournament supports the Rotary Club of Weston Scholarship Fund, which helps local students pursue higher education and build brighter futures.
Over the past 38 years, the Golf Classic has become a cornerstone event for the community, helping hundreds of students take the next step in their academic journeys. Each year, scholarships are awarded to deserving students from the community, including Cypress Bay High School and Western High School students, recognizing both academic achievement and leadership.
The impact of these scholarships goes far beyond the classroom. Behind every award is a personal story of perseverance and opportunity. One of these stories relates to a recipient who grew up in extremely challenging circumstances, living in a deteriorating trailer and facing a future that once seemed uncertain. With support from the Rotary Club of Weston scholarship program, she pursued her education and is now working toward a PhD at NSU. Her story stands as a powerful example of how a community’s support can transform a life.
The success of the Golf Classic would not be possible without the dedication of sponsors, including Freedland Harwin Valori and Gander, the Golf Title Sponsor for over 15 years, along with major sponsors like Moises and Fauzia Jaffer Foundation, JP Morgan, Iyengar Family, Bel Air Maintenance (BAM) and several other community partners
Beyond the competition on the fairways, the Golf Classic represents the spirit of Rotary: service, leadership, and a commitment to investing in young people. Every participant helps open doors for students whose determination and potential deserve the opportunity to flourish.
