The Arts Council of Greater Weston is pleased to announce the winners of its 9th Annual Summer Instagram Photo Contest. This year’s theme was “The Magic of Contrast”, with participants creatively capturing Contrast all around us. This year we had 142 entries and 20 photographers. Winners were honored at an Award Ceremony on August 27 at 6:00 pm at Experience Art Gallery in Weston Town Center.
The Winners of this year’s season are Sabina Berkowitz (First Place), Yaski Awasaki (Second Place), Tono Chavez (Third Place), and Tono Chavez (Most Liked).
Jurors were Phoenix Marks (professional art photographer), Frank Rodriguez (professional photographer, owner, and instructor at Visual Academy), and Lifrancis Rojas (Program Director and Visual Artist).
The top 25 photographs, including all winning entries, will be exhibited at the Weston Branch Library from October 3rd – October 31st.

Director of the Instagram Photo Contest Lifrancis Rojas, was thrilled with this year’s entries. She commented, “This year, we invited participants to see the world differently — to discover beauty in opposites: light and shadow, color and form, movement and stillness.
