Trusted pediatric specialty care is now more accessible than ever for families across Broward County

Nicklaus Children’s Health System (Nicklaus Children’s) is honored to expand its Broward County pediatric offerings – including new facilities and services in Coral Springs – through a collaboration with Broward Health. Nicklaus Children’s now provides inpatient neonatal care (NICU), pediatric intensive care (PICU), pediatric surgery and operates the pediatric emergency departments at Broward Health’s Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale hospital campuses.

Matthew A. Love, President and CEO of Nicklaus Children’s Health System says, “Our expanding presence to Broward County reflects our longstanding commitment to bring high-quality, compassionate pediatric specialty care closer to home for the children and families of South Florida and beyond.”

Nicklaus Children’s has also expanded its specialty care offerings, increasing its footprint to 12 locations across Broward County.

In Coral Springs, Nicklaus Children’s now offers two specialty care practices dedicated to pediatric and fetal cardiology, orthopedics and spine care, and endocrinology, further expanding access to expert pediatric care in the area. The new site strengthens the health system’s ability to meet growing demand while ensuring children receive the focused care they deserve in their own communities.

In Fort Lauderdale, Nicklaus Children’s specialty care centers offer a broad range of pediatric specialty appointments in endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, neurology, and more. These services are delivered with the same clinical excellence, innovation, and compassion that have made Nicklaus Children’s a trusted name in pediatric healthcare for more than 75 years.

Yair Katz, who serves as President of the Broward Market at Nicklaus Children’s Health System, says, “For families in Broward County, this expansion is about more than new locations — it is about peace of mind. It means enhanced access to board-certified pediatric specialists, more coordinated care, and the confidence of knowing exceptional treatment is available close to home. As healthcare continues to evolve, accessibility remains one of the most important factors in helping children receive timely, effective care.”

Nicklaus Children’s investment in Broward County demonstrates a deep and lasting commitment to the community. Increasing access means more children can benefit from quality, specialized pediatric care right in the neighborhoods where they live, learn, and grow,” said Mr. Love.
