Big Trucks, Big Smiles Davie’s Annual Touch-A-Truck Event was a Hit

Families from across the community gathered at the Town of Davie’s annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, May 2, for a morning packed with excitement, exploration, and hands-on fun. Children had the chance to climb aboard and interact with a wide variety of vehicles, including fire trucks, police cruisers, construction equipment, and other specialty vehicles that help keep the community running every day.

The event offered plenty of smiles and unforgettable moments as kids honked horns, explored driver’s seats, and met the men and women who operate the vehicles. Parents and families enjoyed watching their children experience the trucks up close while learning more about public safety and community services in an engaging environment.

Several local dignitaries attended the popular community event, including Davie Mayor Judy Paul, who spent time greeting residents and supporting the town’s family-friendly tradition. Representatives from local departments and organizations were also on hand to connect with families and showcase the equipment they use to serve the community.

Touch-A-Truck continues to be one of Davie’s most anticipated annual events, bringing together residents of all ages for a day centered on community spirit, education, and fun. For many children, the opportunity to get behind the wheel of their favorite big trucks made for a truly memorable experience.
