Alert Pembroke Pines Pembroke Pines Residents Stay Informed with New Notification System

The City of Pembroke Pines has launched a new mass notification service designed to keep residents informed when important public safety issues, emergencies, or city updates arise.

Known as Alert Pembroke Pines, the system allows the city to send advisories directly to residents by phone, email, and text message. The goal is to provide timely information during critical incidents and help residents make informed decisions when seconds or minutes may matter.

Alert Pembroke Pines may be used during situations that present an imminent threat to public safety, including active police scenes, endangered missing persons, severe weather, flooding, fires, and other emergencies. For a city that regularly prepares for hurricane season, heavy rain, and other South Florida weather challenges, the system gives residents another tool to stay connected.

The service also includes an opt-in feature for non-life safety notifications. Residents can choose to receive updates about utility outages, water main breaks, planned road closures, town hall meetings, and other city information. This flexibility allows residents to select the types of alerts that are most useful to them.

The city previously used CodeRED for emergency alerts, but that system is no longer operational in Pembroke Pines. Residents who want to continue receiving emergency advisories must create a new account with Alert Pembroke Pines. Those who do not sign up with a valid phone number or email address will not receive emergency notifications through the system.

Alert Pembroke Pines is free to use. According to the city, personal contact and location information will be used only for notification purposes by the City of Pembroke Pines and will not be sold or shared with outside vendors or organizations.

Residents can register online through the city’s website at www.ppines.com/alertpembrokepines. Anyone who has difficulty creating an account can contact Everbridge 24/7 Technical Support at 866-436-4911 or the Everbridge 24/7 Live Operator line at 877-220-4911.

In an emergency, reliable information matters. By signing up for Alert Pembroke Pines, residents can receive important updates directly and stay better prepared for whatever comes next.
