Fall in Love at “Adopt a Sweetheart” Adoption Specials & Valentine’s Day Treats at the Humane Society of Broward County

Love is in the air at the Humane Society of Broward County as the shelter hosts its annual Adopt a Sweetheart adoption event on Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15.

Thanks to Cupid, select pets will have their adoption fees waived, and all pets one year of age and older will be 50% off — making it the perfect time to open your heart and home to a new furry Valentine.

To add a little extra sweetness to the weekend, a Valentine’s Day bake sale hosted by the HSBC Friends of Animals and Teen Club will take place on Saturday, February 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with proceeds supporting the care of shelter animals.

The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Adoption kennels open daily at 11:00 a.m. and appointments are not required.

Those interested can preview available pets by visiting www.humanebroward.com, where dozens of dogs, cats, and other lovable companions are waiting to meet their perfect match and be your furry Valentine.  While on the website, be sure to complete the pre-adoption application.

This Valentine’s Day weekend, skip the chocolates and flowers—adopt a sweetheart and find a love that lasts a lifetime.

The shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, just west of I95 on the south side of the street.  The Humane Society of Broward County is a private, non-profit organization that is not affiliated with any local or national group with a similar name and relies on donations to operate.
