Join Us for the 2025 Rotary Club of Weston’s ‘Run for Tomorrow’

Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 7, 2025, as Weston comes alive with energy, fitness, and community spirit at the annual Rotary Run for Tomorrow. Celebrating an impressive 28 years of promoting health, unity, and giving back, this beloved event promises to be bigger and better than ever, drawing thousands from Weston and beyond to enjoy a morning full of athletic achievement, family fun, and community celebration.

Since its inception, the Rotary Run for Tomorrow has grown into a showcase of Weston’s vibrant spirit. Featuring a Half-Marathon, 10K, 5K races, and the popular City of Weston Commission Cup 1-Mile Family Walk, the event unfolds amidst the picturesque, tree-lined streets of Weston. It’s an event for everyone—runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels—who want to be part of a momentous day that combines fitness, fun, and philanthropy. Over 5,000 participants and spectators are expected to attend, all eager to support local charities, enjoy live entertainment, and take part in engaging family activities.

This year’s festivities will again be centered at Cypress Bay High School, located at 18600 Vista Park Boulevard. The races kick off bright and early, with the Half-Marathon starting at 6:20 a.m., followed by the 5K and 10K at 7:00 a.m. Every participant will receive a high-quality dri-fit race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and complimentary parking. At 9:15 a.m., the excitement continues with the City of Weston’s Commission Cup & 1-Mile Family Walk. This friendly competition encourages local elementary schools to rally their students—raising school pride while competing for the prestigious Commission Cup and substantial cash prizes generously donated by the Rotary Club of Weston. Participation is open to all, and registration is free but required at https://commissioncup.com/. Be sure to arrive early, around 8:30 a.m., due to anticipated heavy traffic and city-wide road closures—this is one event you don’t want to miss!

Following the races and walk, everyone is invited to enjoy the Family Health & Fitness Festival, running from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The festival will feature over 50 booths packed with health and wellness activities, interactive games, obstacle courses, live music, and much more. It promises a lively and fun-filled experience for all ages and interests.

Over the past 28 years, the Rotary Run for Tomorrow has raised more than $2 million to support invaluable local charities and international projects. Funds have directly benefitted youth programs, health initiatives, and Rotary’s ongoing fight to eradicate polio worldwide. Every step taken by participants contributes to building a healthier, more compassionate community and a better global society.

“We are thrilled to celebrate nearly three decades of bringing Weston together in support of fitness and philanthropy,” said event chair Frank Dreier. “This event highlights our community’s strength and generosity, while also encouraging healthy habits and supporting vital causes both locally and globally.”

The event is proudly sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, The Rotary Club of Weston, the City of Weston, and numerous local sponsors.
