Mágico Visual Concerto Will Be a Treat for the Senses

A one-of-a-kind musical and visual experience is coming to town when the City of Weston, in collaboration with the Weston Music Society, presents Mágico, a visual concerto performed by the Symphony of the Americas orchestra. This magical musical program takes place on Saturday, January 26th at 7:30pm in the Cypress Bay High School auditorium.

Mágico is a true treat for the senses. It features ground-breaking performance art by photographer and multimedia artist Nicholas Bardonnay of Westwater Arts. He is a pioneer in the medium of symphonic photochoreography – a seamless interplay of photography and classical music. The audience will delight in watching awe-inspiring images projected onto a 440-square-foot screen while listening to the Symphony of the Americas, under the baton of Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese, play familiar classics.

“Get ready to be mesmerized by the true artistry of Mágico as you connect with breathtaking imagery coupled with classical music that will truly move you,” states Rose Sklar, Weston Music Society (WMS) VP of Ways and Means. “Your ears and eyes will be inspired.”

Patrons will also hear new work by Mexican Grammy Award-winning composer Eduardo Magallanes, whose music features melodic, upbeat native rhythms and sounds.

“We could not have a better example of bringing the best of all musical genres to Weston than Mágico,” notes WMS Co-President Andrea Burghardt.

Co-President Lou Marett encourages everyone to purchase tickets early. “Don’t miss the opportunity to see such a spectacular visual treat in the neighborhood at these bargain prices.”

Tickets are on sale now at the Weston Community Center, Mia of London Jewelers and Glamopolitan Beauty Lounge and online at www.westonmusicsociety.org. Advance tickets are $20 for general admission and $10 for students. If available, tickets at the door on the night on the performance will be $30 for general admission and $15 for students. Following the performance, there will be a free Meet the Maestro dessert reception in the cafeteria.
