“Orchid Renaissance” Orchid Show and Sale Returns to Pembroke Pines, Jan. 10-12

The Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society, a nonprofit organization, will host its 65th annual orchid show and sale, Orchid Renaissance, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, 601 City Center Blvd., Pembroke Pines.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $15, with tickets available at FLOS.org. Parking is free.

“Orchids by the thousands will arrive from major growing centers from around the globe,” says Sara Singer, the show’s organizer. “Our amazing show and sale will completely transform the Dodge City Center auditorium with fragrant, exotic blooms, along with elaborate vendor displays.”

Recognized as one of the top juried orchid shows in the U.S., the event features breathtaking exhibits, exotic orchids, growing supplies, and decorative items. Guests can also attend free educational classes led by orchid experts. Notable exhibitors include award-winning Florida growers Soroa, Krull-Smith, and Quest Orchids, alongside renowned growers from Taiwan and Hawaii.

The society’s commitment to conservation will also take center stage, highlighted by its collaboration with Fairchild Botanic Garden’s Million Orchid Project. A dedicated booth will showcase native orchid displays and detail efforts to reintroduce these plants into South Florida. Since 2019, volunteers have planted over 10,000 native orchids, aiming to re-establish one million in the region.
