Senior Meal Programs During Coronavirus Outbreak

The Area Agency on Aging of Broward County will continue to ensure Senior Citizens will not going hungry during the COVID-19 pandemic. The United Way of Broward County, Ultimate Software and Humana have donated funds to ensure all local seniors will receive healthy, nutritious food each day.

If you are currently not the recipient of any meal programs and are experiencing a food shortage, call the Area Agency on Aging of Broward’s Elder Helpline at 954-745-9779

Meals on Wheels

Seniors who already receive home-delivered meals from South Florida Meals on Wheels, that service will continue as usual.

Closed Centers

Seniors who take meals at a congregate meal site or senior center, and that facility has closed, you will receive home-delivered meals until your regular facility re-opens. If you have any questions or concerns about your meal delivery, please contact the facility where you normally get your meals. Facility staff is available to answer questions
