Association of Professional Businesswomen Offers Unique Networking Opportunities

For nearly 20 years, the Association of Professional Businesswomen, Inc., has been welcoming women from across the tri-county area to its monthly networking sessions held here in Weston. They are an opportunity for women of all career fields to gather to exchange contacts, ideas and advice.

Director of Membership Michelle Seidle, who is also a past president, says the Association of Professional Businesswomen (APB) is not your typical networking group. “In addition to networking with other businesswomen, our members discuss issues in the workplace, share business development ideas, and gain meaningful connections with other professionals. APB’s meetings and events are not just about collecting and passing out cards. It’s about offering both professional and friendly social environments that give opportunities to meet with peers, share experiences, and get to know each other both professionally and socially.”

APB hosts various social programs in addition to its monthly network luncheon meeting held at MCafe inside the Midtown Athletic Club on the second Wednesday of each month. Seidle says visitors are always welcome, especially students and young women entering the workplace as APB members are eager to share their experiences and business wisdom.

“Women accomplish amazing things when we support each other,” states Seidle. “When a woman helps another woman, they both benefit. And when women celebrate one another’s accomplishments, we’re all lifted up. Together women can do more, go further, and change the world!”

In addition to networking and professional development support, APB members benefit from presentation opportunities, business networking and connections, website exposure including free advertising, and inclusion in the membership directory.

Seidle encourages professional businesswomen in the community to consider joining APB.
“It is amazing to be part of a group of women who want you to be your very best and actively help you succeed. For a support network of established business leaders, APB is your ‘go to group!’”

The not for profit organization attracts members of all professions. According to Seidle, “Our members are professionals, businesses owners and executives representing many different industries such as medical, legal, insurance, auto sales, retail sales, contractors, consultants, and more.”
