 Amidst the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, festive gatherings, and baking delicious treats, it’s easy to overlook some wonderful holiday events happening right here in town. Don’t miss out on these exciting happenings:.

SnowFest

The City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department cordially invites Pembroke Pines residents to join in the annual Snowfest Event on Saturday, December 2nd, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. Hurry, because free tickets for Pines residents are in high demand and running out fast!

Santa and his merry companions will be in attendance, and there will be a sea of snow for playful frolics. The air will be filled with the delightful sounds of the holiday season, courtesy of over 300 singers and dancers gracing the holiday stage. Join Santa and City officials in a heartwarming ceremony to illuminate the towering 35ft tree on the plaza at 6:30 pm.

But the festivities don’t stop there! Embrace the holiday spirit by participating in the Ugly Sweater Contest, with roaming judges ready to reward the most creatively “ugly” holiday sweaters between 5 pm and 6 pm. Free parking, rides, and enjoyable holiday activities with Santa will be available from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Indulge in culinary delights and refreshments from concessions and food trucks available on-site for purchase. Remember, this event is exclusively for Pembroke Pines Residents. Tickets are free but must be acquired in person with proof of residency before the event. Availability is limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets can be picked up at the Pembroke Lakes Tennis Center, 10500 Taft Street, during weekdays from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm and on weekends from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. They are also available at the TownGate Recreation Center, 901 NW 155th Avenue, on weekdays from 9:30 am to 8:00 pm and on weekends from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Holiday Art Market

Everyone is welcome to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit at the festive Holiday Art Market. Explore a delightful variety of offerings from local artists and craft vendors inside The Frank Gallery. Discover unique handmade gifts from independent creators while enjoying the current art exhibitions. Whether you’re in search of art prints or home goods, there’s something for everyone. Free refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. This event is free and open to the public and takes place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery, 601 City Center Way.

Savor The Sounds

As December’s signature holiday draws near, unwind and relax with Savor the Sounds. Bring a blanket or your favorite chairs and immerse yourself in the soothing melodies of The Triplite Band, performing a delightful repertoire of Holiday, Disney, and Pop music. Join us on the Plaza at the Charles F. Dodge City Center on Sunday, December 17th, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for a musical interlude to cherish during this holiday season.
