The Ghost Light Society once again shines a light on the award-winning arts-in-education programs at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts with its annual Ghost Light Society Soirée in November.
This year’s galactic-themed event, “Soirée in Space” presented by UKG, is set for Saturday, November 5 from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Parker, 707 N.E. 8th Street in Fort Lauderdale. More than 250 guests will enjoy an out-of-this-world evening filled with dining, dancing, and musical entertainment in the unique setting of The Parker stage.
Founded in 2009, the Ghost Light Society’s mission is to engage and inspire a new generation of patrons to actively promote, celebrate, and support the performing arts. To date, the group’s annual Soirée has raised more than $1.2 million to support the Broward Center’s arts-in-education programs for Broward County students.
“As our largest and most anticipated event of the year, the Soirée has a tremendous impact on our ability to help fund these important initiatives that enable more than 130,000 students annually to experience the educational power of the performing arts,” said Soirée Co-Chair Jason B. Blank of Haber Blank LLP.
“We could not host our annual Soirée without a hard-working committee of volunteers and our extremely generous sponsors, who help ensure this event just gets better every year and continues having an impact for arts education,” added Soirée Co-Chair Morgan Weinstein of Twig, Trade & Tribunal PLLC. “It’s a great night to celebrate and support the arts.”
The Ghost Light Society was founded in 2009 to engage and inspire a new generation of patrons to take an active role in promoting, celebrating and supporting the performing arts. The organization is composed primarily of community leaders and business professionals between the ages of 25–45 who enjoy a variety of exclusive benefits for members, including access to pre-sale tickets, pre-show cocktail receptions, networking events and behind-the-scenes opportunities throughout the year.
All funds raised by the Ghost Light Society support the Broward Center’s wide variety of educational programming that serves more than 130,000 students in Broward County each year. For more info, visit www.ghostlightsociety.org or email [email protected].
