Celebrate the Arts, presented by the City of Weston, the Arts Council of Greater Weston, and the Weston Music Society, returns to Weston Town Center on Sunday, January 23, from 1:00pm-5:00pm.
One of the most popular family events of the year, this year’s features include the Outdoor Studio by Young at Art Museum with fun art projects. Entertainment will be presented by the Sagemont Synergy Chorus & Rock Band, Falcon Cove Middle School Ensembles , YouthAllStar! Chamber Ensembles, Tequesta Trace Middle School Symphonic & Jazz Bands, Cypress Bay High School Band, Chorus & Drama, and some special solo performances.
And there is more! YouthAllStar! Director Dave Brubeck will have a modified playing zoo for strings (hands on) and winds (demo only). Plus chalk walk activities, glitter tattoos, a balloon artist, and, of course, the annual much-loved 28-foot graffiti wall on which all attendees can express their artistic talent. Middle and high school Arts and Science Clubs will present hands-on activities for children of all ages. And we are working on even more activities for this festive day.
Arts Council President Laura Dobrzanski said, “We are excited to bring Celebrate the Arts back with an even stronger partnership between the Arts Council of Greater Weston, Weston Music Society, City of Weston, and other community organizations as we come together to create a spectacular experience showcasing art, music, dance, and creativity in our community.
Music Society President Gina Catone added, “Celebrate the Arts highlights our talented young performers in Weston while providing the community with an opportunity to be engaged with art in diverse mediums.”
Mark your calendars now for this very exciting and interactive community event as we all Celebrate the Arts!
