Water is flowing again in Fort Lauderdale. However, residents in the following areas are still advised to boil water:
- Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
- Oakland Park
- Port Everglades
- Sea Ranch Lakes
- Wilton Manors
- Portions of Davie
- Portions of Tamarac
The water disruption was caused by the collapse of a 42 inch supply line to Fort Lauderdale’s main plant. Engineers and construction workers were able to patch the pipe late Thursday afternoon and turn residents’ taps back on.
The county has begun distribution of free bottled water to residents. They can be picked up at the following locations:
