The Weston Community Center Your 2025 Hub of After-School Enrichment

The Weston Community Center is the go‑to destination for enriching after-school and weekend activities. Curated by the city’s Parks & Recreation Department, the 2025 roster spans arts, athletics, technology, and academic-focused programs, designed for all ages and interests. Classes run year-round across diverse themes, from toddlers to active older adults.

The center is nestled within Weston Regional Park, the city’s largest at 102 acres. It boasts prime access to athletic fields, shaded outdoor spaces, and scenic paths. 

Athletic & Movement Programs

Tee Time for Young Golfers

New for 2025, Golf Explorers brings back a modern twist on the First Tee program: adaptive, child-friendly clubs and target-based drills for K–3, now enhanced with VR swing-
analysis to refine form.

Youth Running Club: Marathon in Motion

Inspired by classic running clubs, this program empowers K–5 students to achieve cumulative 26.2‑mile progress over the school year, with digital incentive tracking and milestone badges for motivation.

Kidokinetics Movement Series

The beloved Kidokinetics offerings continue:

  • Tiny Movers (ages 3–5) engage toddlers in playful balance and coordination.
  • Active Kids (ages 5–10) build discipline, confidence, and motor skills through new weekly activities in a non‑competitive atmosphere.

Youth Martial Arts

Building on Goju Karate foundations, new tiered levels from beginner (6+) to advanced teens teach confidence, self-defense, and discipline with experienced instructors.

Performing & Creative Arts

Inside Out Theatre

For teens (13–18), the Performance Ensemble delivers advanced acting instruction, culminating in a 2025
production of Mamma Mia! 

Superstars Dance & Twirl

  • A high-energy curriculum combining dance, baton twirling, and cheerleading:
  • Beginner Track: ages 4–7
  • Intermediate: ages 8–12
  • Shining Stars Elite: competitive team with local showcase opportunities

STEAM & Academic Enrichment

Code Explorers 2.0

Expanded to two levels for ages 5–13, this coding initiative now introduces block-based programming and early robotics through tablets, emphasizing creativity and logical thinking.

Buildbots Robotics Challenge

Students ages 6–14 collaborate on high-tech LEGO robot tasks, including mini 3D printing for parts, fostering innovation and teamwork.

Chess Masters Club

By popular demand, chess continues to challenge minds. Open to ages 5-18, this club advances beyond basic strategies to tournament-level play, enhancing memory, concentration, and reasoning.

Music & Performance Programs

The Weston Youth Center for Musical Arts (WYCMA) now hosts several sessions at the Community Center:

  • Beginning Band (Grades 4–6)
  • Rhythm Masters (Grades 3–7)
  • Advanced Band (Grades 6–8)

All these are offered in Fall 2025 with 6–8 week sessions and performance opportunities.

Test Prep & Academic Support

SAT/ACT Prep Workshops

New for 2025, SAT and ACT preparation courses cover test content, strategy, and question patterns to support college-bound students.
