Inspiring Individual: Kurt Asesor Leading with Purpose in Business and Community

Kurt Asesor wears many hats: entrepreneur, mentor, coach, and now, President of the Rotary Club of Weston for the 2025–2026 term. As the owner of three Premier Martial Arts schools and an XP League esports center, Kurt has built a professional life centered around discipline, growth, and leadership. But his passion for service runs just as deep.

“I’ve always believed that if you’ve got the ability to help, you should,” Kurt says. That belief led him to Rotary, where he found a powerful platform to give back. From chairing the club’s scholarship-generating Drawdown event to building collaborative relationships through the Weston Chamber of Commerce, Kurt has earned a reputation for combining action with impact. “Most of what I’ve done wouldn’t have been possible without those connections,” he adds.

Kurt’s approach is shaped by decades of martial arts training. “Success isn’t about the belts, it’s about the people you bring with you,” he reflects. That mindset has carried him through business and into community leadership. As Rotary President, he plans to emphasize teamwork and introduce a new initiative: earning a “Black Belt in Service” to recognize members’ time, talent, and treasure.

Though juggling business and service is no small feat, Kurt sees them as interconnected. “When you build something with a bigger purpose in mind, they start to support each other,” he explains. His family, team, and the people he serves provide the motivation to keep going. “My wife Madelaine keeps me grounded,” he says. “Even when things get tough, I don’t want to let them down.”

For those looking to make a difference, Kurt’s advice is simple: “Just show up. Don’t wait for the perfect opportunity or the perfect title.”

Grounded by humility and driven by impact, Kurt Asesor continues to lead by example, helping Weston grow stronger, one connection at a time.
