Vivian Bryant, Assistant Principal at Franklin Academy in Pembroke Pines, has been recognized as a 2025 Charter School Champion of the Year by the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS). She is one of only three school leaders across the state to receive this prestigious honor for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The Charter School Champion of the Year Award recognizes school-based administrators who demonstrate exceptional leadership and performance at their schools. Bryant’s recognition places her among an elite group of charter school professionals acknowledged for their dedication and impact on students and communities.
Now in its twelfth year, the FCPCS award program highlights excellence in several categories: school leaders, teachers, governing board members, innovators, and pioneers in the charter school sector. For 2025, honorees include nine teachers, three school leaders, three governing board members, two pioneers, and one innovator, representing charter schools across Florida that serve students from kindergarten through high school.
“Congratulations to Vivian Bryant and to all of the 2025 Charter School Champions of the Year, and congratulations to their schools and communities,” said Robert Haag, President of FCPCS. “Each of the winners helps to deliver quality education to Florida’s charter school students. They are important contributors to Florida’s hugely successful charter school movement.”
Bryant’s recognition is a point of pride for Franklin Academy and the Pembroke Pines community, underscoring the school’s commitment to academic excellence and leadership.
