Trial Attorney/Partner
Coffey McPharlin Trial Lawyers
Meet Vivian
Vivian Fazio is an attorney who has been practicing in state and federal courts throughout Florida for more than 25 years. A South Florida native and the daughter of Cuban immigrants, she recently joined forces with the Fort Lauderdale personal injury law firm Coffey McPharlin after years of running her own firm. Now collaborating with long-time colleagues, she plays a pivotal role in business development, initiating and resolving legal cases, and positioning the firm for future growth. Vivian is active in many professional organizations, having served as the President of the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association and Director of the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association. She has been appointed to serve on important committees, commissions, and panels by multiple Florida Bar Presidents, Governor Scott, and the former Chief Judge of the 17th Judicial Circuit, respectively. Vivian’s service extends to our community as a former President of the Broward Women’s Alliance and board member of the St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church’s Women’s Guild.
A Turning Point
Vivian’s decision to join Coffey McPharlin this year was a significant leap of faith for her as she was leaving the comfort of her own firm to join two long-time colleagues. Her new partners’ similar mindsets, complementary personalities, and skill sets convinced Vivian that this was the right decision for her, both professionally and personally. While she has had to make some adjustments, the positives far outweigh any negatives. Vivian and her partners know they are stronger together and leverage each other’s strengths to benefit their clients and the community.
Keys to Her Success
Remaining positive and resilient has been the key to Vivian’s success. “I’ve endured many obstacles throughout my career, but I’ve learned that keeping the faith and taking things one day at a time will get you through almost anything.”
Words of Advice
“Never give up and always work on being your best self – both in public and private. Don’t underestimate the power of personal development. Invest in yourself and surround yourself with like-minded people. Even if you don’t feel like your actions have had the impact you think they should, keep at it, and you will find a way. Everything will come together when you’re truly ready and open to opportunities.”
