The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County proudly celebrated the grand opening of “The Club” – The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation Teen Center, a brand-new space designed to empower teens right here in Davie. Located adjacent to the well-established Rita & Rick Case Club, this exciting addition is already being hailed as a game-changer for local youth.
The innovative facility for teens aged 13-18 is designed to empower them by providing a safe, supportive space where they can develop the skills necessary to succeed academically, personally, and professionally. From academic support to career readiness programs, the Teen Center is a place where every teen can find the tools and opportunities to reach their full potential.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, community leaders, club alumni, and dozens of excited teens gathered to mark the occasion. Many spoke about how the new center provides a safe, inspiring environment for young adults to learn, grow, and prepare for their futures.
“This building is more than just bricks and mortar, it’s a promise to our teens,” said one club leader. “A promise that they will always have a place to belong, to be heard, and to achieve their dreams.”
Programs at “The Club” will focus on leadership development, career readiness, college preparation, and healthy lifestyles. With mentorship at its core, the center aims to help teens build confidence and discover their potential. Importantly, it also offers a welcoming space where young people can simply be themselves, surrounded by friends and positive role models.
The Mangurian Foundation’s commitment to youth, paired with the Rita & Rick Case Club’s long legacy in Davie, ensures that thousands of teenagers will have access to the resources and guidance they need to thrive.
As one student beamed during the celebration, “This is our place now. It feels like home.”
With “The Club” now open, Davie teens have a powerful new hub for growth, friendship, and opportunity, a shining reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together for its future leaders.
