THE WESTON FOREIGN FILM SERIES NOW IN ITS 20th SEASON

It’s big lights, cinema cameras, and more great action as the Arts Council of Greater Weston and the City of Weston announce that the Weston Foreign Film Series will continue to feature six foreign films again this year.  The popularity of this series has grown year by year, and from its beginning in the Weston Library, it now takes two auditoriums at two times to accommodate the expanding audience.

Movies will be screened on the second Monday of each month from November 2025 through April 2026.  All movies are in their original language with English subtitles.

Irene Carraway. WFFS Director, says, “We are very excited about the films we selected this year.  They provide you with a window into diverse cultures, values, and ways of life that might otherwise remain unfamiliar. They highlight different approaches to storytelling, challenging viewers to step outside the conventions of mainstream cinema”.

Showtimes are 4:45pm and 7:30pm at the AMC Weston 8 Cinema Theater, 1338 SW 160th Ave, Sunrise, FL 33326. Doors open 30 minutes before each showing.

Future films will be listed in the Calendar sections of our print media partners.  To view the entire season’s offerings, go to 1weston.com.

Laura Dobrzanski, President of the Arts Council of Greater Weston, summed it up perfectly.  “One of the absolute joys of our Foreign Film Series is watching the audience react — the laughter, the surprise, even the quiet moments of reflection.  These films really connect with our audience, and that’s the best part.”
