Broward Health Coral Springs recently partnered with Women of Tomorrow, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and empowering at-risk young women. Through this impactful collaboration, high school students from South Broward High were given a unique opportunity to explore careers in healthcare firsthand.
The day began with a welcome from Broward Health Coral Springs’ executive leadership team, who shared insights into the hospital’s mission and the diverse roles that make up a successful healthcare system. From there, students rotated through departments including Pharmacy, Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, and Nutrition—engaging directly with professionals in each field.
With many of the participants expressing an interest in pursuing careers in medicine, the experience offered an invaluable behind-the-scenes look into the fast-paced and rewarding hospital environment. The hands-on exposure helped bring their aspirations to life, connecting classroom learning to real-world application.
Programs like this aim to broaden students’ perspectives and encourage them to reach their full potential by showing them the wide range of career paths available in healthcare—many of which they June never have considered before.
