Dr. Marrero’s journey into gynecology began as a child in Puerto Rico, inspired by her older brother Carlos, who practiced as a gynecologist. “I watched him speak so passionately about his profession, and I knew then that I wanted to be just like him,” she shares. That early admiration blossomed into a calling, which she pursued through a rigorous academic path
that included a Bachelor’s in Biology, a Master’s in Public Health, and ultimately medical school.
