A Tradition of Tribute:  Memorial Day in the Town of Davie

On Monday, May 26, 2025, the Town of Davie will host its annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States.
This solemn event, organized in collaboration with the Scoutmasters Camporee Committee of the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America, invites community members to come together in remembrance and gratitude.

The parade will commence at 10:15 a.m., starting from the Davie Fire Administration building located at 6901 Orange Drive. Participants will proceed east along Orange Drive, culminating at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds at 4271 Davie Road. The ceremony is scheduled to begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. at the Rodeo Grounds.

Attendees can expect a dignified program featuring the presentation of colors, the folding of the United States flag, and speeches from local officials and veterans. The event serves as a non-political gathering focused solely on honoring fallen military heroes, active service members, and veterans.

Community organizations, school bands, youth groups, and JROTC units are encouraged to participate in the parade. Veterans, Scouts, and military personnel are invited to wear their uniforms in solidarity and respect.

Flags will be available for purchase prior to the ceremony for $1.00, which can later be placed on veterans’ graves during the upcoming Veterans Day in November. Additionally, drinks and event patches will be available for purchase at the arena.
