Get Outside, Pembroke Pines! Celebrate Kids to Parks Day with Free Family Fun

National Kids to Parks Day is a nationwide initiative celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. Organized by the National Park Trust, this event encourages families to explore local, state, and national parks, fostering outdoor play and environmental stewardship among children.

Launched in 2011 by the National Park Trust, Kids to Parks Day celebrates the great outdoors nationwide.

It connects kids and families with local, state, and national parks and public lands. By discovering and exploring our public lands, kids across the country can learn about park stewardship, outdoor recreation, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and the history of our country.

By teaching kids to appreciate and enjoy our public lands, organizers hope to foster future outdoor enthusiasts and create the next generation of park stewards and caretakers of these important places.
