Welcoming a new addition to your family is a journey filled with hope and excitement—and ensuring your child’s health is every parent’s top priority. For families in Broward County, Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Care Centers (PCCs) offer appointments with board-certified pediatricians and deliver compassionate, world-class care, right in your backyard.
In October 2024, Nicklaus Children’s celebrated the opening of its fifth primary care location in Broward County, the Nicklaus Children’s at West Pines Pediatric Care Center (PCC). This milestone marks the health system’s 10th PCC across Miami-Dade and Broward counties and showcases its commitment to growing with the community. The expansion builds on the 2023 integration of five South Florida Pediatric Partners offices, which increased Nicklaus Children’s PCCs in Broward from one location in Weston to four, including Cooper City, Pembroke Pines and Pompano Beach, and now five with the opening of West Pines. Four out of five of these PCCs offer both primary and specialty pediatric care, meeting children’s diverse healthcare needs in one trusted setting.
Looking ahead, Nicklaus Children’s plans to expand services in Broward in 2025, providing increased access to board-certified pediatric specialists, ensuring even more families can receive exceptional care close to home.
The recently announced affiliation between Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Broward Health is poised to transform pediatric care in the region. As part of this collaboration, Nicklaus Children’s will become the dedicated pediatric provider at Broward Health’s Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs locations. “This collaboration represents a critical step toward addressing the growing needs of our community,” said Chris Pernicano, Chair of the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners.
Beyond primary care, Nicklaus Children’s is advancing pediatric surgery with the new Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower. This five-story, 131,000-square-foot facility opened in October 2024 and combines cutting-edge technology with a compassionate focus on patient experience.
With its expanding network and dedication to children’s health, Nicklaus Children’s is where your child matters most™. To learn more about Nicklaus Children’s services in Broward County or schedule an appointment visit www.nicklauschildrens.org/Broward
