Celebrate Davie’s Rich Heritage at the 88th Orange Blossom Festival, Parade & Rodeo

This February, the Town of Davie will honor its rich heritage and agricultural roots with the 88th Annual Orange Blossom Festival, Parade & Rodeo. With more than 15,000 attendees anticipated, this iconic event promises fun and excitement for the entire community.

The festivities begin on Friday, February 21, with a free kick-off concert featuring Southern Blood at the Bamford Sports Complex. Guests can enjoy children’s activities, food trucks, local vendors, and more.

“This Orange Blossom Festival, Parade, and Rodeo is the highlight of the year in Davie,” said Mayor Judy Paul. “It reflects our cowboy roots, cultural traditions, and the family-friendly atmosphere that defines our town. We welcome residents from all over Broward County to join us in celebrating a beloved tradition that gets more exciting each year.”

Festival Highlights 

The festival, spanning Orange Drive from Davie Road to S.W. 66th Terrace, will showcase over 250 displays. On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can enjoy free activities, including an arts and crafts fair, art exhibits, live music, a petting zoo, and a western carriage display. The popular kids’ corner will feature inflatables, games, and more.

The Parade 

The parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, running along Davie Road from Orange Drive to S.W. 39th Street. More than 75 floats, marching bands, youth groups, and charitable organizations will participate. Parade winners will be announced and awarded immediately after the event.

Food and Treats

 Guests can indulge in a variety of food options throughout the weekend. The Davie Woman’s Club will host an old-fashioned Strawberry Festival on Saturday and Sunday, featuring fresh strawberries, homemade shortcake, and other delicious strawberry creations. Additionally, the festival will offer fresh, locally-grown produce at an old-fashioned farmers market.

Rodeo 

Excitement For those seeking thrills, the Weekley Brothers Pro Rodeo will take place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Cowboys and cowgirls from around the globe will compete in events such as bull riding, bareback riding, cattle wrestling, barrel racing, and team roping.
