Coral Springs High School has achieved a significant milestone by increasing its graduation rate to 98.1% for the 2023–2024 academic year, up from 95.1% in the previous year. The school, which was established in 1975 has seen continued improvement in its test scores in recent years and received a “B” rating from the state of Florida last year.
This graduation increase is part of a broader trend within Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), where the overall graduation rate for traditional high schools rose to 89% in 2024, up from 88.7% in 2023.
Coral Springs High Principal Dwayne Dixon, attributed the school’s success to several factors including its dedicated faculty and staff, focused academic programs and increase involvement from parents and the community at large.
The commitment of teachers, administrators, and support personnel has been instrumental in providing quality education and personalized support to students. The school Implemented targeted academic initiatives and support systems to address students’ diverse learning needs, helping them stay on track for graduation.
BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn commended the efforts, stating, “Ensuring our students complete their high school education with the knowledge, tools, and academic foundation to be successful in their post-secondary pursuits is critical.”
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in the 2024–2025 academic year, Coral Springs High School emphasizes a culture of kindness and inclusivity. The school’s alma mater, composed by Sue Mitchell Wallace in 1978, reflects its commitment to knowledge, truth, and pride.
