The Miramar Police Department teamed up with the Miramar Park of Commerce, for the 9th Annual Sunbeam Polar Express to deliver holiday joy to local children and families. Thanks to the generosity of its tenants, who collected thousands of toys, the event spread holiday cheer throughout the community. It ensured that Miramar families experienced the magic of the season.
The day kicked off with tenants dropping off their toy donations and getting into the holiday spirit. Later, a festive caravan of decorated trucks, brimming with gifts and accompanied by enthusiastic business owners and staff dressed in fun candy-themed attire, made its way through the streets, led by the Miramar Police Department to the Miramar Police Station.
“We’re thrilled to see our community come together once again for such a wonderful cause,” said Ryan Goggins, Vice President of Acquisitions, Leasing, and Marketing at Sunbeam Properties & Development.
“This event grows each year, with more than 80 of our tenants at the Miramar Park of Commerce generously participating in delivering thousands of toys to children in Miramar. A huge thank you to all the businesses that participated, the City of Miramar, and the Miramar Police Department for their continued enthusiasm and support in making this event such a success and for helping bring holiday joy to families in need.”
The toys were distributed to local children through Operation Blue Squad. Officers from the Miramar Police Department helped unload the gifts at the station, with special participation from Miramar Chief of Police Delrish Moss and his command staff.
