Join the Fun: Music, Art, & Technology at Celebrate the Arts Day 2025

The Arts Council of Greater Weston, in partnership with the City of Weston and the Weston Music Society, proudly presents Celebrate the Arts Day, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 4:30 pm. This spectacular event brings our community together through the transformative power of creativity.

Set in the scenic Town Center Park, this year’s event promises a vibrant mix of arts, technology, and family fun. The day will feature captivating performances on the bandshell stage by local school bands, choruses, and drama departments, showcasing the incredible talents of our young artists. Jami Nix Rahn, Director of Celebrate the Arts, commented, “We’re thrilled to bring Celebrate the Arts Day to Town Center Park this year. The expansive space allows for a wonderful flow of activities, and the amphitheater provides a stunning backdrop for our talented performers. Surrounded by the park’s beautiful trees, it’s the perfect setting to celebrate creativity and community.”

Beyond the stage, Celebrate the Arts Day attendees can explore interactive arts and technology displays, sparking curiosity and inspiration for all ages. From leaving your mark on the 28-foot-long Graffiti Wall to experimenting with creative activities for all ages at the Young at Art Museum’s open-air studio, the opportunities for self-expression are endless. Add in the playful touch of balloon artists and spray tattoo art, and you’ve got a day brimming with fun for the whole family.  Annalisa Walker, Special Events Manager for the City of Weston, noted, “It’s great to see growing attendance at our community events. Celebrate the Arts is a true example of that, bringing both Weston residents and visitors to this popular event. We are excited to host this year’s event at Town Center Park and encourage everyone to enjoy the creativity that will be on display.”

Lou Marett, President of the Weston Music Society, “The beauty of the free concerts, played by elementary, middle and high school students, is that they are great follow-ups to our In-School Music Programs.  The students and their families can experience the joy created by all the instruments playing together that the students saw demonstrated separately.”

Whether you’re here to enjoy live music, unleash your artistic side, or soak in the community spirit, Celebrate the Arts Day is an event not to be missed. Join us as we honor the vibrancy of Weston’s creative heartbeat in this exciting new venue. We’ll see you there!

Laura Dobrzanski, President of the Arts Council of Greater Weston, summed it up well,

“We are deeply grateful to the many organizations that have come together to bring this event to life, including the Arts Council of Greater Weston, City of Weston, Weston Music Society, Young at Art, Friends of the Library, and Weston Art Guild. With the support of 10 local schools, each contributing their unique music and STEAM-focused activities, this event promises to be a truly memorable day for all.”
