Pasta with a Purpose Support Cancer Awareness at Station 80

Join the Coral Springs Fire Department for their annual Cancer Awareness Pasta Dinner on Saturday, October 19th, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Station 80, 2825 Coral Springs Drive, north of Royal Palm Blvd., Coral Springs, FL 33065.

For an $8 donation, attendees will enjoy a generous serving of pasta with homemade firehouse sauces, salad, meatballs, Italian sausage, bread, a beverage, and dessert. All meals are prepared and served by firefighters, including Chief John Whalen. Guests can tour the firehouse, learn about rescue equipment, meet firefighters, and purchase t-shirts to support the cause. Kids will also receive a firefighter helmet.

Proceeds benefit the Professional Firefighters Benevolent Association and other local charities. The American Cancer Society works to eliminate cancer, while the Coral Springs Professional Firefighters Benevolent Association raises funds for local causes that directly help those in need.

This event, now in its ninth year, was started by IAFF Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department members to honor the memory of firefighter Paul Pietrafesa, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2016 at age 48. Each year, the dinner grows, with a goal of serving 1,500 meals.
