On November 11th, both the Town of Davie and the City of Cooper City are coming together to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served as military veterans in the United States Armed Forces on Veterans Day.
Cooper City
The Cooper City Recreation Department will host its Annual Veterans Day ceremony at Cooper City Memorial Park, 9001 SW 51st Street, starting at 11:00 am. This event aims to express gratitude to our veterans for their dedicated service to our nation and honor their significant contributions. The ceremony will commence with a warm welcome from the City Commission, followed by guest speakers who are veterans themselves.
The proceedings will feature a presentation of colors, flag-raising, and a solemn 21-gun salute by the BSO police and fire honor guard units. Following the ceremony, the American Legion will kindly host a lunch for attendees. Veterans who are Cooper City residents and wish to be recognized are encouraged to send an email with their details to [email protected], using “Veterans Day” as the subject line. Information required includes name, branch of service, address, position, phone number, and years served.
