PLA Sports Bar was created by taking your favorite local sports bar and adding the latest live multi-sport simulator technology. The result is an incredible place to spend time with friends and family.
Located inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, PLA is a one-of-a-kind venue where sports lovers can compete head-to-head in one of the multi-sport simulator suites while they enjoy drinks and cuisine you’d expect from a high-end resort. We sat down with CEO Terry Lee to learn more about the unique sports bar.
PLA Hard Rock is really unique. Tell us what makes you so different from other Sports Bars and restaurants.
PLA is the evolution of your favorite local sports bar. We have upgraded the traditional sports bar with our Live Sports Simulator Suites, which feature fourteen different sports that any guest can play using real sports equipment such as golf clubs, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls and even a virtual gun shooting range.
PLA is a place where you get to literally watch and play sports simultaneously. We know guests love this experience as they just voted us Hollywood’s Best Night Out in Our City Hollywood’s annual ‘Best Of’ edition.
The sports simulators are out of this world. What options do guests have?
Each of our Sports Simulator Suites can accommodate up to eight guests with bar and food service provided by one of our energetic and professional team members. Guests can choose from different sports to play and can easily switch between them with the touch of a button. In addition to more traditional sports like golf and soccer, other fan favorites include Zombie Dodgeball!
We heard there are even golf leagues. How do they work?
Our golf leagues are incredibly fun and competitive. We offer a new season 3-4 times a year on Monday nights that uses a two-person team format. Players play nine holes from a different world-class “virtual” course every week with a season-ending championship. Grab your partner and join the fun! And our weekly tournaments only take two hours compared to regular green grass tournaments.
PLA sounds like an excellent location to bring a group from the office or to have a team party
Absolutely! We are the perfect location for your next business or social function like corporate outings, office events, bachelor/ette parties, birthday parties or just getting your crew together. We can accommodate groups of up to 150 guests and have great food and beverage packages to fit any occasion. Our games and team-building activities using our Sport Simulators differentiate us from other venues. Our Group Sales Manager will work with you to handle all of the details.
Tell us about the menu. What are your favorite dishes?
Guests will find a full bar program with a great selection of specialty cocktails, ice-cold local and craft beers, hand-selected wines, and great bar food. As you would expect, we have an awesome burger, great wings, and other items like pizza, bar snacks, and large shareable platters. For a healthier approach, chose a classic salad or our Grilled Salmon Entree. From the bar, guests love our Margaritas and other cocktails like our Watermelon Basil Punch and Pineapple Mojitos. For the more adventurous, share our 96-ounce Tito’s Mega Mule with a couple of friends.
Do you offer specials?
Every day is a special day to play with us, which we call “PLA Days!”
In addition to Happy Hour every Monday-Friday from 3-7 pm, we have different specials every day of the week including Tequila Tuesday featuring a live DJ plus Wednesday and Friday night Karaoke featuring whiskey and shot specials. Check out our website for details of each day of the week. We also offer Bottle Service, which is great for parties in our Sports Simulator Suites.
