Parkland hosted its annual “Light up the Park” event on December 9th at Pine Trails Park. The event, which was free and open to the public, featured holiday-themed activities and attractions, including live music, food and drink vendors, and a dazzling display of Christmas lights.
Attendees enjoyed live performances from local musicians, including students from the Parkland International Music and Arts School, as well as visiting with Santa Claus and taking part in holiday-themed games and crafts. The highlight of the evening was annual “Ugly Sweater” Raffle, with residents showing off their worst holiday outfits.
In addition to the festivities, the event also included a toy drive, with attendees bringing toys for the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys-For-Tots program.
