POC American Fusion Buffet and Sushi offers a vast array of dishes from around the world. With years of experience having worked at some of the most lauded restaurants in New York and Miami, restaurateur Will Lin, Chef Johnny HK, and Chef Kevin Z joined forces to establish the first-ever “non-traditional” buffet-style dining restaurant.
Johnny HK built his experience in the New York kitchens of David Bourke’s The Oak Room and Balthazar. He created innovative dishes for POC with a unique blend of Western and Eastern techniques based on his personal life experiences. Kevin Z is one of the most well-known sushi chefs/artists in New York having worked at renowned restaurants like Nobu and Sushi Samba. His delicious and colorful creations delight sushi lovers from all around South Florida
POC Buffet is the perfect place to bring the family for a meal this holiday season. With more than 100 items on offer, there is certainly something for everyone. The food is fresh and plentiful with lots of choices.
The cozy restaurant is the centerpiece of International Plaza on Bonaventure Boulevard across from Weston Town Center. It is one of two locations, with the other located in Coral Gables.
The space is packed with dining options. The various food options stretch along the side of one entire wall of the restaurant and include tons of sushi options, a salad bar, a hibachi grill, traditional hot dishes, and a dessert buffet. You will feel right at home as soon as you are greeted by one of the friendly staff.
The Food
The challenge with any buffet restaurant is balancing choice with quality. POC tackles this challenge by combining new, creative, sushi items with the traditional choices fish-lovers look for. They also offer a number of a huge variety of non-sushi items including tempura shrimp, Japanese rice & noodles, barbecue ribs and much more.
Sushi
If you enjoy sushi and have a big appetite, this may be the best restaurant in Broward County! There are over 30 selections of fresh sushi, sashimi, and hand rolls at any given time. A couple of our favorites are the peppered salmon nigiri along with the tuna sashimi.
Hot Food Selections
Hibachi items include steak, chicken & shrimp, along with a variety of traditional vegetables. The master chefs prepare each dish to order and one of the wait staff will bring it to your table.
The hot food includes favorites like Thai coconut shrimp. The dumplings are fresh and the salad bar offers a vast choice of vegetables, fruits, and dressings.
Dessert
The restaurant has one of the best dessert selections in Weston. The tiramisu is delightful and the Creme Brule will make you think you are in Paris. There are also chocolate cake and ice cream options for kids or less adventurous.
