A great part of living in Weston are the many family-friendly community activities. Moonlight Movies in the Park is one of the most popular community activities in the city.! Family-friendly blockbuster movies will be exhibited on a huge outdoor screen at Weston Regional Park this fall. The City of Weston’s Moonlight Movies in the Park series will feature a number of hit movies.
The popular program premieres October 8th with the “spooky” and spectacular animated Halloween film, “Hotel Transylvania – Transformania.” After one experiment, Johnny turns into a monster and everyone else becomes human. Will they be able to reverse this experiment? The kids will be on the edge of their seats as they watch to find out!
Disney’s “Encanto” will be featured on November 12th. Hidden in the mountains of Colombia, each member of the extraordinary Madrigal family can perform magical powers, with the exception of teenage Mirabel, who struggles to adjust to her place within her family, while searching for her own identity.
The 2022 Moonlight Movie in the Park series will conclude a showing of the classic “Home Alone,” starring Mcauley Cauklin. Eight-year-old Kevin must protect his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left alone at home by his family during Christmas vacation.
In an effort to present new releases, the City of Weston has not yet selected its spring Moonlight Movies in the Park films. The titles will be announced as those dates get closer.
All movies are projected onto a giant inflatable screen at Weston Regional Park’s Event State, next to the Weston Community Center. Moviegoers should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Coolers are permitted, but alcohol is not allowed in the park. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
