Moviegoers will learn that heroes come in all shapes and sizes with the spring selection of films for Moonlight Movies in the Park. One Saturday night each month, now through April, residents of all ages can gather to watch movies under the stars at Weston Regional Park. The films are all free and family-friendly.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres on February 2nd at 7:30pm. In this blockbuster film, Rey learns the ways of the Force from Luke Skywalker, and develops a telepathic bond with Kylo Ren, who is struggling to master the Dark Side. Meanwhile, Stormtrooper-turned-Resistance fighter Finn goes on a risky mission behind enemy lines.
Disney’s Big Hero 6 is scheduled for March 2nd at 7:30pm. In this animated movie, a young tech whiz named Hiro must save his city with the help of his inflatable robot Baymax, as well as his friends Go Go Tomago, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred.
Moonlight Movies in the Park concludes on April 6th at 8pm with Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2. Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back, but this time Elastigirl returns to crimefighting, leaving Mr. Incredible home to take care of the kids and discover Jack-Jack’s secret superpowers.
All movies are projected onto a giant inflatable screen at the Event Stage inside Weston Regional Park, next to the Weston Community Center. Moviegoers should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Coolers are permitted, but alcohol is not allowed in the park. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
