It’s a Party in the Park with WestonNights Concert Series

The popular WestonNights Concert Series continues with another evening of music under the stars. On Saturday, February 9th, #NoFilter takes the stage at Weston Regional Park.

#NoFilter is the house band for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team, but they have quite a following throughout Florida. Don Decker, Weston’s Director of Parks and Recreation, says he discovered them while vacationing in the Florida Keys.

“I saw this band live in Key West and thought that their high energy performance of well-known hits through the decades would be exciting,” shares Decker. “They play a lot of music that will be recognizable to everyone.”

The band plays chart-topping hits from today as well as classics from the 70’s, 80’s a

nd 90’s. Although there is no set playlist, Decker says #NoFilter’s repertoire includes everything from Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars to Bon Jovi, The Bee Gee’s and Journey. Recent concerts have included Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon, Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake, All About that Bass by Meghan Trainor, Poison by Bell Biv Davoe, Ride Wit Me by Nelly, Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard, and more.

According to the band’s website, #NoFilter brings a fast-paced, energetic performance to keep the audience entertained throughout the entire evening. With a state-of-the-art light and video show, everything looks better with…#NoFilter.

Decker says he’s overwhelmed by the popularity of the WestonNights Concert Series. “It has become an event that people look forward to every year and we are excited to introduce new bands to keep the series fresh.”

The WestonNights Outdoor Concert Series concludes on Saturday, March 16th with Jaded: An Aerosmith Tribute. Turnstiles, the ultimate tribute to the music of Billy Joel, kicked off the three-concert series in December. All shows are presented by the City of Weston.

All WestonNights concerts take place from 7-10pm on the event stage in Weston Regional Park. The event stage is close to the park’s largest playground, which is a plus for families w

ith smaller children.

Concert goers should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit back and enjoy the music under the stars. Guests are welcome to bring coolers and picnic dinners; alcohol is not permitted. Food trucks will be on site selling a variety of food and beverages.
