Cleveland Clinic Florida celebrated its 30th anniversary with a festive gala, appropriately titled Celebrate! The event recognized 30 years of service to the South Florida community and the hospital’s accomplishments and growth.
This past year, Cleveland Clinic Florida was ranked the #1 hospital in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market by U.S. News & World Report. It also opened an expanded Emergency Services Department as part of the newly constructed hospital tower on the Weston campus, as well as welcomed the Coral Springs Family Health Center. The massive expansion efforts continue with next year’s opening of the Lozick Women’s Center in Weston.
“Cleveland Clinic Florida’s growth over these past three decades is a result of the high-quality, collaborative and compassionate care our caregivers provide patients and the communities we are proud to serve,” said Wael Barsoum, MD, CEO and President of Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Proceeds from the Celebrate! event will support the creation of the Lozick Women’s Center, which is dedicated to the screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Entirely funded through philanthropy, it will provide a seamless, holistic experience for patients in a newly constructed 6,800-square-foot space designed to foster care team collaboration and provide patients access to the most advanced technology in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The evening’s festivities also honored Cleveland Clinic Florida’s five Master Clinicians: Viviane Connor, MD, John Donohue, MD, Dalia McCoy, MD, Preetesh Patel, MD, and Raul Rosenthal, MD. They were recognized for their lifelong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and educating future physicians and caregivers.
